FIND YOUR PARTNERS * CREATE YOUR PROJECT * ENHANCE YOUR PROJECT * visit other countries
We are keen to encourage teachers participating in IPC courses to create networks from which Comenius projects may emerge. Though we cannot participate in your project or guarantee the participation of an English partner, coming to IPC provides a valuable opportunity to meet teachers from different countries. Our aim is to further the aims of Comenius funding by encouraging teachers to become involved in projects which will benefit their students and will bring students from different countries together to work on relevant themes. If you want to know more about Comenius Projects, it is a good idea to find out more before joining a course at IPC. Visit your National Agency by clicking here.
'We are all citizens of one world; we are all of one blood.' Jan Amos Comenius, 1592-1670
The Comenius Programme is named after Jan Amos Comenius, often considered the father of modern education. Comenius is aimed at schools, colleges and local authorities across Europe. Comenius has two main objectives:
- to develop knowledge and understanding among young people and education staff of the diversity of European cultures and languages, and the value of this diversity
- to help young people to acquire basic life skills and competences for their personal development, for future employment and for active European citizenship
