British Institutions Language and Culture (BILC)

A course combining personal language development with an introduction to some of our institutions - newspapers and their role in British Society, government, the legal system and the British education system. Organised visits will include some of the following depending on the time of year and availability; the Houses of Parliament, the local press, the Magistrate's or Crown Court, County Hall, (the seat of local government), a secondary school or tertiary college, places of historic or geographic interest. This course has been designed to provide professionals from either a business or teaching background with the knowledge and skills to sit the London Chamber of Commerce Further Certificate for Teachers of Business English.
