APPLY FOR EU FUNDING FOR YOUR COURSE IN EXETER

IPC Teacher Training courses are included on the Comenius/Grundtvig database of courses. This is an on-line catalogue of teacher training courses for which EU Funding is available. Click here to go directly to the catalogue. Funding is overseen by the national agencies in each EU member state and applicant member state - to locate your National Agency on-line click here. Teachers can apply for funds to cover flights to and from the UK, travel to and from Exeter, the course with IPC and accommodation. We will support your application for funding and provide you with all of the information you need. You must send your application for funding to your National Agency according to the timescale for funding. The next deadline for funding is;

January 13th 2012 - for courses taking place between May and end of August 2012

10 STEPS TO EXETER * enrol, apply, succeed, travel

Step 1: Go to the 'IPC Courses' page. Read the detailed course descriptions. These are PDF files. Choose a course. Choose your course dates. PLEASE ONLY TAKE THE NEXT STEP if and when you have decided that you definitely wish to apply for a course and you are sure of the course and the dates Click on the course date on the 'Courses' page which will link to an enrolment form for you to complete - with the Comenius/Grundtvig session ID already inserted into the form. You need to fill in the dates manually.

Step 2: Complete and send the form - this will go directly to the IPC Enrolment Office. When we receive your form we will record all of your details on our Course Applicants Database. Please note that there is NO COST AT ALL in pre-registering for a course. You can also complete the form on the Enrol Now page - you will need to fill in the course dates manually.

Step 3: You will receive a detailed Enrolment Pack from the IPC Enrolments Officer as soon as possible - usually within two days. Please note that we offer accommodation in homestay (host family) all year round. This is the most economic form of accommodation and will save you and your National Agency money. During the summer months we can also offer bed and breakfast accommodation or full board accommodation on the campus of Exeter University. These are en suite rooms in a well located hall of residence. REMEMBER to apply for more funds for your accommodation and subsistence if you choose residential accommodation.

Step 4: Download the Comenius/Grundtvig application form from your National Agency's website and complete the form, (our guidelines will assist you) - tip - ask someone who has applied before for help. You can find the contact details for your National Agency by clicking here

Step 5: Send off your completed form and supporting documentation to your National Agency before the next deadline (next deadline is 15th Sept 2010)

Step 6: Inform IPC as soon as you hear that your application has either been accepted or declined. Please note that there is NO COST AT ALL in pre-registering for a course. If you are unsuccessful with your application we hope you will apply again in the future.

Step 7: If you confirm your participation, we will send you the IPC Teacher Confirmation Pack as soon as possible once a minimum of 4 participants have confirmed places on the same course. (We need a minimum of 4 confirmed participants to run a course). Most IPC courses will run. If your course cannot run due to a lack of confirmed participants, we will offer you a new course date, or an alternative course for the same dates. Wherever possible we will assist you in negotiating this course/date change with your National Agency.

Step 8: Fill in your Teacher Information Sheet and return it to the IPC Accommodation Officer.

Step 9: Book your flight to England (Bristol or Exeter are most convenient, London Heathrow next best).

Step 10: Travel to Exeter and enjoy your 2 week teacher training course with IPC.
