EU Grants - we are flexible

Almost all IPC Teacher Training course participants join a course with the financial support of a grant from the EU Lifelong Learning Programme. As such we understand that when you apply for your course you are asking for a provisional reservation. We understand that you will not join the course if you are not successful in your application for the grant. We do not make any charge for you to pre-register for a course.

Because we have no clear indication of how many of the teachers who apply for grants will receive grants, we cannot guarantee availability on all courses - particularly during the summer months. We will offer places on a first - come - first - served basis.

We cannot be sure who will be successful in applying for a grant and who will not. Hence, although on almost all courses there are teachers from more than one nationality, we cannot guarantee the nationality mix on any specific course.

How to Book

You can provisionally reserve your place in the following ways;

1. Complete an 'Enrol Now' form on this site. You will receive a 'pre-registration pack'.

2. Send an e-mail to enrol@ipcexeter.co.uk stating your name, e-mail address, contact details, course title and course dates. You will receive a pre-registration pack.

Please note that in the final few days leading up to an application deadline we are very busy and will respond to e-mails in the order in which they are received.

How To Pay

All of the details of how to pay for your course are included in the 'Confirmation Pack' you receive after telling us that your grant is confirmed.

This confirmation pack is also available in the password protected 'Your Pages' section of the IPC Website.

We expect you to pay your course fees by bank transfer no later than one week prior to the start date of your course.

Our course fees are quoted in Euro because our courses are advertised on the Comenius/Grundtvig database of courses. This is a Europe-wide database for teachers applying for grants.

When you pay your fees you will need to ask the bank to pay the amount you owe in Euros. We are not responsible for the banks charges. Charges vary from bank to bank.

You are required to pay all bank transfer fees.

If your fees have not covered all bank charges we will ask you to settle the outstanding balance of your fees here in Exeter.

Cancellation Fees

We do not charge a cancellation fee if you pre-register for a course and later tell us that you have not been successful in applying for a grant and therefore need to cancel your place on that course.

We make a charge of up to €300 in the following circumstances;

You confirm you place on an IPC course - telling us that you have been successful in your application for a grant and will go ahead with the course that you pre-registered for.

Later on, for your own reasons, you tell us that you you will not go ahead with the course.

We make a charge in this circumstance because when you tell us that your grant is confirmed we assume that you are coming to Exeter and we make plans for your participation. This involves us in work and expenditure.

We will charge the maximum cancellation fee in cases where you have applied for your course, told us that you will join the course and later on tell us that you have accepted a place on a different course.

We cannot accept cash payments here in Exeter.

We use the on-line currency converter www.xe.com to confirm any amounts owing.
