Teacher Testimonials - What School Group Organisers Say About IPC

Dangl

When we decided to change our language school after staying in London for more than twenty years, we did not know then it would be the best decision ever. For the last three years we have been going to IPC Exeter now and working together with Ben, Julie, Vicki and Belinda has been more than professional and satisfactory. Not only are the lessons tailored to our students` needs, but also the host families and the way they deal with our students are fabulous.

What all our students appreciate a lot are the great trips to the seaside, from Sidmouth to Tintagel and some more extracurricular activities like the Ceilidh, which we got to know for the first time last year. For all these activities we could not wish for a better guide than Roger. This language school fully meets our expectations of a successful language week and we are looking forward to coming again soon.

I first worked with this school back in 2020 on a fascinating EU-funded project linking the regeneration of industrial warehouses in my area with the former mines in Devon. Since then I’ve been back every single year with smaller groups, essentially study trips.

The quality of the tuition is top-notch, with lessons perfectly tailored to the students’ needs by a truly dedicated team. Plus, the host families are brilliant: even my most fastidious Italian students have been perfectly happy with them — and that’s saying something! What more could you ask for?

I really hope to keep coming back. Hopefully, one day soon, we’ll be able to resume those larger-scale projects again.

I’ve been bringing my students to IPC Exeter for around 20 years now. I first discovered it when I attended a course there myself as a teacher, and I enjoyed the experience so much that I decided to start bringing my students as well. Since then, I’ve never felt the need to look elsewhere.

Every year I choose IPC because Ben and his staff are extremely professional and clearly know what they’re doing. The activities are well-organized and engaging. The host families are consistently welcoming, kind, and attentive, making the students feel at home from the very beginning and giving them a genuine insight into everyday English life.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for my students to experience English culture in a meaningful way, while having fun and trying new things. They always come back happy and full of positive stories, and they consistently speak very highly of their time there.

I will definitely continue bringing my students for as long as I can.

I first met Ben 30 years ago when I brought my group to Exeter to work on student newspaper project. We worked together to produce the 'Alpine Echo'. Since then I have led many successful school language projects to Exeter and have met Ben in Vienna and Eisenstadt to discuss our ongoing collaboration. We always choose IPC Exeter when we can. We know that IPC take the best care of us.

I’ve been taking my students to IPC for almost 20 years now. We love Exeter and its
surroundings. Ben and his team perfectly prepare our trips every year to make us feel
welcome and fulfil the needs of our groups. Each time the ordered program is great and
so are the host families. What I like most about IPC is the possibility to tailor programs
the way it suits us best and of course this part of England is always a pleasure to visit. Returning to Exeter each year is not ‘only’ a school trip, it’s meeting friends in a gorgeous city.

My colleagues and I have brought groups of students to Exeter for more than two decades, often as many as 60 young people at a time. Once we discovered IPC, we never considered other options again as this simply was the best: Apart from the pleasantness, safety, and 'manageability' of the city of Exeter and the beauty of its surroundings, we have found in IPC a partner that provides everything we could hope for: an encouraging and nourishing learning experience with highly professional and approachable staff that tailor their courses precisely to our students' needs, many extracurricular activities on offer, like hikes and cultural visits, and a generally cheerful and respectful atmosphere. Attention is paid here to the individual, and we have always felt very much at home in the school's lovely historic building.

I've been taking students to IPC for almost 20 years. The school has always met all our needs, providing help and assistance on every occasion, both before leaving and during our stay. Lessons and activities are tailor-made by experienced teachers according to the group requirements. Host families are carefully selected to offer students an unforgettable stay in Britain. IPC staff are constantly improving and enhancing their offer to keep IPC updated to the younger generations' needs and preferences.

I first met Ben and IPC many years ago, when I used to take students alongside my middle school teacher, Maresa. She was the one who discovered IPC, and she told me: "Silvia, I've found the perfect school — one you'll keep coming back to, even without me." And she was absolutely right.
IPC strikes a wonderful balance between well-structured academic content and fun, engaging activities that keep students genuinely involved. One aspect that means a great deal to me is how the evenings are organized: students are never left to go home alone — families come to pick them up, ensuring their safety and giving us teachers real peace of mind. The host families are warm, welcoming, and enthusiastic. I've personally stayed with two families as a teacher, and both were absolutely exceptional. And then there's Ben — incredibly kind and generous, he has a true gift for making everyone feel part of something special. Maybe that's no surprise, given the wonderful family he has himself! And let's not forget the location — Exeter and Devon are simply stunning. The school trips offer a fantastic opportunity to discover this beautiful part of England, from its charming countryside to its breathtaking coastline. A true bonus that makes the whole experience even more unforgettable.

If you're looking for a summer school that combines quality learning with genuine care and a gorgeous setting, IPC is the place to be.

It's always a pleasure to take students to IPC for the quality of the teaching, the caring hosts and the professional staff in the office. Ben, Julie and Vicki work closely with the leaders to provide the most suitable academic and cultural programme for each group. Belinda is fabulous in matching students to the host families and assuring that the packed lunch is healthy and tasty. Harry is our usual guide in trips and his trips are always interesting thanks to his sense of humour.
