Levels and Placement

Students complete a placement test before or on arrival. This ensures they are placed in the correct class for their level.

We offer classes from Elementary (A1) to Advanced (C1).

Our Unique Approach

We place students in classes for grammar, reading and writing and speaking and listening. If needed, we can place students at different levels in different classes/ skills.

Dynamic - Students can be placed according to their level in each skill. Many schools place students at the same level for all the skills. However, many students are better in certain skills than others. Our course design means you can be at the correct level in each skill.

Stimulating and motivating - There are three classes per day, with different teachers and potentially different classmates adding variety and keeping students motivated

Flexible - Students sometimes improve at different speeds in different skills – our course design allows us to place students in suitable classes for each of the skills. If you improve more quickly in certain skills, we can place you in the most suitable class for those skills.

Effective - Being at the correct level for different skills helps students improve all skills effectively. This benefits all, including exam students who are tested in different skills. We will monitor your progress continuously to ensure you continue to make good progress in all English the language skills as effectively as possible.

Individual focus - The course allows us to place students according to their profile in different skills and so has a very individual focus. Some students want a slower start to refresh their skills, while others want to be immediately challenged. Others are more hesitant about using their English, whereas some are very confident.

Innovative approach - Currently, we understand, there are no other schools in the UK who design their General English courses in this way.
