Ferry House - Our Special Riverside Cottage for Visiting Group Leaders and Adult Students

Ferry House is the beautiful riverside cottage owned by IPC. We offer the cottage to visiting Group Leaders - it's one of our special 'unique selling points' which means that it is something we have that no other school has - it's something that makes our School Group offering special. The house is also available to adult General English students who want to make their stay extra special It can even be booked to a couple or three guests who want to improve their English and have a teacher visit them at the house. For 3 people the house is reasonably economical - albeit executive. Ask us about a special package.

Many old friends and colleagues who have worked with IPC along the way ask to come back and stay at Ferry House. It's an ideal place to spend a week or more if you are newly retired and want to keep your connection with IPC and the beautiful south west of England.

Ferry House offers a calm sanctuary for guests. After a busy day with your group (school group leaders) or a busy day in school (adult students), coming home to Ferry House really is coming home to complete tranquility. You open the door and you are in peace. You can pop across the road to the garden and grab a drink from the Passage House Inn - a traditional pub just three doors down. Ferry House is set in one of the most attractive locations in the area.

The ground floor of the house is one huge open plan kitchen, lounge and living room. The bay window at the front of the house offers superb views of the estuary, bird and river life, and the endless trail of walkers and cyclists passing by on their way to Topsham and beyond.

There are two bathrooms and a separate WC on the ground floor - a bath and a walk in shower and two sinks on the first floor. One huge double bedroom - ideal for a couple or a lucky single person benefits from a double bed, separate sofa and arm chair - again offering views over the estuary. The twin room to the rear of the house is smart and suitable for two adult sharers.

Thanks so much for our third stay in this wonderful house. It has been a true balm for our senses. The peace and quiet here is priceless, as is the stunning view over the estuary. But it wasn’t just our sight and hearing that benefited from the week; the superbly equipped kitchen catered for the palate, while the garden and the lovely surroundings of early spring were a delight for the nostrils. Thank you again, Ben and Dao. We hope to see you again next year!
