Student Care and Support

A Personal Approach

As a smaller school, we are able to offer individual attention to every student. We take time to get to know you, understand your goals and provide support whenever it is needed — both inside and outside the classroom.

Students often tell us that the friendly atmosphere at IPC helps them feel at home from the moment they arrive.

The IPC Team is dedicated to making you feel welcome and well looked after. We want to ensure that your time spent with IPC in Exeter is productive and memorable.

Support Before You Arrive

Our support begins before your journey to the UK. We provide clear guidance on:

  • course preparation
  • accommodation options
  • travel and arrival arrangements
  • life in Exeter
  • We are always available to answer questions and help you prepare with confidence

Our History and Location

Since IPC first opened its doors in 1998, we have welcomed many thousands of international visitors through our famous Big Red Door. Our headquarters are based in historic Colleton Crescent, overlooking Exeter quayside and the River Exe.

Our School and Facilities

The school is a 5-10 minute walk from the centre of Exeter. The building offers 8 comfortable classrooms, a large breakout area, a kitchen with free tea and coffee facilities, and wi-fi access throughout the building. Once painted by the famous English artist J.M.W. Turner, the building remains historically significant. You will sense the history as you walk through the Big Red Door for the first time.

Our Quality and Accreditation

All of our teachers are qualified ESL teachers with many years of experience both in the UK and abroad. Our teacher trainers all have DipTESOL qualifications (or equivalent) and offer a wealth of experience and expertise.

IPC is accredited by the British Council and is a member of English UK.
